Deploying starter kits
24 Dec, 2005
Summary
Now you can deploy the ASP.NET Starter Kits with one button click.
*** Automatic deployment of starter kits is discontinued ***
How to deploy starter kits ?
You can use the
link from Control Panel
to deploy the ASP.NET Starter Kits.
Go to the
Starter Kit Deployment
page and select the starter kit you like to deploy. Also, select the language you prefer (Visual C# or VB.NET).
Once you submit the request, you will see the result page immediately, but it may take couple of minutes in the background to complete the set up process. We have a background application that handles time consuming oeprations like database attach/detach etc.
Make sure you have a clean webroot and database folder before you deploy the starter kits. If you already have files or databases with the same name, the starter kit deployment may fail or mess up. You can use File Manager to
delete all files and databases
.
Admin accounts for Starter Kits
Some of the starter kits have the option to create an admin account. We have already created an admin account for you in the starter kit databases. So, after you deploy the starter kit using our One-Click option, you can start using the admin account.
